Meraki Capital has completed the acquisition of City Centre Recruitment, a

well-established industrial recruitment and commercial cleaning business based in

the South West of the UK.

The transaction marks another investment by Meraki Capital and brings City Centre

Recruitment into the Meraki family alongside recently acquired Magnus Search. As

part of the deal, a £4 million funding facility has been secured to support the growth

of both City Centre Recruitment, City Centre Cleaning and Magnus Search,

providing capital to scale operations, invest in technology and deploy AI-driven

solutions across the group.

Following the acquisition, Bradley Wood, managing director of Magnus Search, will

work closely with the City Centre Recruitment leadership team to support growth and

operational development, while maintaining the culture and strong client

relationships that underpin both businesses.

Nick Gordon, founder of Meraki Capital, said: “City Centre Recruitment is exactly the

type of business we look to partner with. It has outstanding client relationships and a

strong foundation. With the £4 million facility in place, we can provide the investment

and guidance needed to help both City Centre Recruitment and Magnus Search

grow together within the Meraki group.”

Simon Thomas, managing director at City Centre Recruitment, said:

“This has been a demanding but very positive process. Partnering with Meraki

Capital gives us the financial backing and strategic support to grow with confidence,

while continuing to focus on our clients and candidates. It’s the best start to the New

Year that we could have wished for!”

The acquisition reinforces Meraki Capital’s strategy of backing high-quality

recruitment businesses and working closely with management teams to deliver

sustainable, long-term growth.

Nikki Merrifield, sales director at City Centre Recruitment, added:

“We’re extremely excited about the next chapter. Our reputation is built on delivering

for our clients. This deal provides us with the stability to move forward and invest in

some of the technology we’ve been missing, meaning we can continue to focus on

clients’ needs and, therefore, grow the business.”

Bradley Wood, managing director of Magnus Search, said: “The Meraki investment

just a few months ago revolutionised my business. Nick and his team offer sound

advice and follow through on promises. I’ve now been given the privilege to work

along the City Centre Recruitment team to help them garner the most from this

investment. We both work in similar industrial sectors and can share knowledge and

grow together.”

City Centre Recruitment has a strong commercial cleaning and housekeeping

service headed by Jacqui Walter, who said: “City Centre Cleaning has become a

trusted partner to many universities and hospitality businesses across the South

West. We take away our client’s stress and deliver every time. With this investment,

we’re now able to grow these partnerships further - the future is very exciting.”

Meraki Capital is dedicated to supporting recruitment businesses that may need

financial support, strategic growth advice or access to resources out of their reach.
